Evga queue sign up update#
I'm sure they can implement an update to the queue or email updates on position but that also takes away from the control that they as a company need to have.
I never really seen a company (and they are not obligated to) release queue positions or when emails for certain products are going to be sent, let's be realistic here guys what they are doing and they implemented in such a short time is amazing and is the only company doing it. I have read that supposedly those emails are yet to be sent, but nothing official. For example I still have not seen an email and I notified on 9/16 for XCS Black. I think it would also be nice if EVGA gave an official estimate on when some models will start to get email notifications sent out. The new system may not be perfect, but it's a vast improvement, and I'm grateful for it. I feel for you, OP and understand why you'd need to vent, but I also 100% disagree. I didn't have much confidence in the auto-notify button on release for obvious reasons, but I hit it anyway and am glad I did now. Given that EVGA is showing they're willing to think outside the box already, I am confident that they'll have something even better in place before the 20gb cards or whatever is coming next are released (hopefully before the 3070's for those who want that card). This is also why "resetting the queue system and starting fresh) would not work at all - the botters would get the first 5000 spots in the queue in the first 30 seconds the button went live. That will change not just for the 4000 launch but for any new cards released at this point - they will program a script to hit that button a hundred times with a hundred different email addresses. They're hopefully working on a more long-term solution since the main reason this one is working as well as it is, is that botters didn't bother to hit the auto-notify button since they don't rely on notifications. I'm sure the folks at EVGA are still working on ways to improve it as well and welcome any constructive feedback we have to that end. However, no system is perfect, and this one is *vastly* superior to anything anyone else has implemented. I get how you'd be frustrated and feel for you. waiting for next year for people who signed up on the 5th is no fun man. who in the right mind would know to press auto notify on launch knowing those things don't work, and he even admitted that the auto notify doesn't work back then and had issues. And I hope there'll be an unsubscribe option soon enough so I don't waste too much time for people who want a SKU I don't but that I signed up for.Ĭharbel1011 that's no solid if it was fair as u think he would reset the queue system and star fresh. Obviously that won't be how it'll work out, but I'm still glad I did it, even for that reason. I signed up for all 3080 (except the Black) because I thought that some SKU might follow others by a couple of minutes, like the XC3 Ultra could be up in stock then a few min later it would be the FTW3 and I'd be there to get one. For me, the notify option was more to study how often and how much stock is back in order to determine when would be the better moment to stalk the EU Store and F5 the hell out of it, not necessarily to hope to receive the mail in time to get one. If you spam F5 that's the same principle, nothing tells you that behind the next F5 there will be stock, but you still do it just in case.
If they ended the auto notify for the XC3 for stock limitations then they could have done it for the other models as well.I don't think Jacob knew at that time, it's just common sense at that point because it doesn't matter if the button is broken, you still do just it in case the button works again with a miracle or is fixed. I'm just hoping they aren't going to have a ridiculous wait time. I've also been trying my luck in the Newegg shuffle. you're welcome to try newegg shuffle or zotac if you prefer or camp out microcenter

plus it doesnt cost u anything to sign up except your time. To give them hope or maybe in the future the supply will be bettter? better be prepare than to not be. Hopefully I can actually get one, but I'm not holding my breath. You'll have to wait for all the 6/3 people up to 6/4 859 before it gets to you asianbob1 My question is why even do an auto notify if the elite members are most likely going to be backlogged for months on end? I got mine in at 805am pst yesterday for a 3967-KR.
